The absolute worse thing you can do is to lie on an interview.  Don’t even make stuff up!  Answer all questions to the best of your ability and if you don’t know the answer, then say “I don’t know”.

There is no sucLovitzh thing as a short cut when it comes to your career.  Well actually holding yourself to the highest standards and being honest and ethical will put you ahead of the norm.  No matter where you get your news from, it seems there is always someone getting caught doing something stupid and unethical.  The Government across this country seems to be filled with the most down right LOSERS of all time.  Could you imagine if the founders of this country were alive today!  I don’t want to get off point because that conversation would take a lifetime to discuss.

When it comes to your career, you should always keep one set of books.  It wouldn’t hurt to carry that over in your personal life but I’m here for the career side.  The last thing you need to do is to lie, get the job and then get caught in your lie.  It becomes a permanent mark on your career forever.  Don’t do it, don’t even think about it.  With the internet changing the landscape of our lives, it is just too easy to find stuff out.  Connecting the dots today is so much easier than ever before, so stay on the right path.

Lying tells me a lot about a persons’ self-image.   Self-image is so important to success in life.  I would hire someone with a great self-image and no experience versus someone with a truck load of experience that can’t look me in the eye.  Twenty some years ago I didn’t get a job offer because of my eye contact.  That was many years ago and it is the one thing that I have worked on that changed my life.  Today I have what you would call a self-image and a half!  Thanks to my faith and all of the great self-help books that I have read.  If you lack in this area, there is a tremendous amount of information that can assist you in this area.

Work on it, do what you know is right and your life will change for the better!
