The Clinical Manager will be a North Carolina Registered Nurse with progressive experience and clinical management exposure. He or she will ensure quality patient care and supervision of nursing staff and medical assistants in the Surgery Center. JOB DUTIES:

POSITION DESCRIPTION
Our client’s Hospitalists work fourteen 12-hour shifts per month. Shifts can vary from month to month, but all efforts are applied to meet the scheduling needs of all staff Hospitalists.
The Hospitalists are Board-certified Internal Medicine physicians who also have an option to work in the ICU. (Rare exceptions may be made for exceptional candidates with Hospitalist experience and Board-certification in Family Practice.)
At present, each Hospitalist sees approximately 15 patients per day. As the Hospitalist team grows, Physician to Patient ratio will decrease to roughly 13 patients per day.

NEW POSITIONS - New Position - Pain Center Clinical Manager - Charlotte, NC Area

Responsible and accountable for the coordination of patient care in the Pain Center to ensure quality patient care.
Also responsible for supervision of nursing staff and medical assistants in the center.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Assesses and evaluates patients’ needs to plan for and implement supportive nursing care before, during and after procedures.
• Assists physician with procedures. Observes patients, administers medications and documents patient care and responses.
• Communicates patient status to physician.
• Assists the staff with developing, reviewing and revising policies and procedures for the Pain Center.
• Assists in interviewing and screening prospective nursing personnel.
• Coordinates the orientation, in service training and continuing education of staff.

• Completes annual performance evaluations for all staff and assists with the maintenance of personnel records.
• Monitors and maintains an adequate supply of medications, maintaining inventory and logs of medication use.

Responsibilities

 Supervise on-site full-time editorial staff and off-site team of part-time physician expert contributors.
 Assure the accuracy, relevance, and utility of all data in the corporate knowledge repository.
 Participate in and oversee the writing and review of handbook-length diagnostic synopses.
 Track important late-breaking clinical advances and ensure their inclusion in company information products.
 Work in partnership with sales, customer support, and software engineering teams to enhance and refine products.
 Review medical informatics trends, experiences, and approaches, and assist in the development of strategic plans for the software technology and the health information website.

Attends required meetings and participates in committees as requested.
Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations. Maintains patient confidentiality.
Performs related work as required.

Utilizes practice/hospital guidelines and standardized procedures in collaboration with the supervising physician(s) in providing medical care to patients.
